Just 5 Things!

I saw this over at Fiesty Charlie's place and thought it sounded like fun.

5 jobs I've had:
Waitress
Factory worker, assembly line (I screwed the blades onto the bottom of Sunbeam blenders - And, no, Richard Gere never came in and carried me off, so I joined the Navy myself.)
Radar Tech, US Navy
RN (ICU), US Army
RN (ICU), civilian world

5 movies I can watch over & over:
Sleepless in Seattle
Steel Magnolias
Fried Green Tomatoes
Out of Africa
Transformers (gotcha!)
pretty much anything with Sandra Bullock or Meg Ryan in it

5 places I've lived:
the buzzing metropolis (not) of Holly Springs, MS
Orlando, FL
Great Lakes, IL
Memphis, TN
Richmond, VA

5 TV shows I love:
Dexter
The L Word
Those are really the only ones on my can't miss list right now.

5 places I've been on vacation:
Niagra Falls, NY
Las Vegas, NV
Ft. Walton Beach, FL
Chicago, IL
The Outer Banks of NC

5 of my favorite meals:
Veggie Pizza (with lots-o-tomatoes)
Chips and salsa (yeah, it counts as a meal)
Banana pudding (ditto)
Chocolate and PB anything (Okay. Maybe that's not a legitimate meal, but it could be.)
Chocolate and mint anything (Sorry. I was on a roll.)

5 websites I visit daily:
MSN
Blogger
Google
hmm... nothing else with any real consistency

5 places I'd rather be now:
Independently wealthy and anywhere!
But, seriously - I've always wanted to visit:
Seattle
Portland
Burlington
San Francisco
Toronto
and/or the FL Keys (and haven't made it to any of those places yet)

I'd love to hear your answers, too!

I'm crushed. Bereft. Heartbroken in fact. I don't know if I can face another day. You don't read MY website every day?

Seriously though - the movie thing:
Godfather I
Godfather II
Love Actually
Victor/Victoria
Sound of Music

Kelly and BP, Thanks for playing along! I enjoyed reading your answers :o)

Tina, Can't wait to read your list!

Sageweb, Good to know! Thanks. I guess I'll stick to Seattle then - since it's bigger.

Lori, That's because I read yours 3 times per day. Chuh! You know, I must confess I've never seen any of the Godfather movies. Everybody keeps listing them. I guess I'd better get on that.

I am sorry Karen, can't let you do it. Go to Portland and hit the Saturday Market. Several blocks of riverfront on the Willamette are opened up each weekend from spring through fall. Somewhere between Cirque Du Soleil and WallMart - if it was run by hippies and artists. If you hit it early in the spring and in the morning the fog can be so heavy that you can only see 10 or 20 feet. Grab a cup of Stump Town coffee and just wander along... you'll never want to leave.

Damn, why am in RVA again?....

BP, Will do! Sounds wonderful. And I ask myself that same question - a lot. As soon as I finish this master's program - which is sloooow going - I'm going to reassess. I just don't think I belong in RVA. Not sure where yet, but not RVA. Don't get me wrong. There are lots of lovely people here. It's just that I think I'd fit in better someplace a tad less conservative.

Sassy, Thanks :o)
